This website does not use cookies for tracking, advertising or analytics.

We don’t set advertising cookies, we don’t use Google Analytics, and we don’t run third-party tracking scripts. Because of that, there is no cookie consent banner — there is nothing to consent to.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device, usually to remember something about you between visits. Most commercial websites use them to recognise returning visitors and to build a picture of browsing behaviour across the web.

What this site actually stores

Nothing, for ordinary visitors. We have verified this: loading any page of marcusmackay.co in a clean browser sets no cookies at all.
Two narrow exceptions, neither of which affects a normal visitor:

When. What. Why.

  • If you log in to the site. WordPress session cookies. Required to keep you logged in. Only applies to site administrators.
  • If you submit a form. Nothing is stored on your device. Your answers are sent to us directly — see the Privacy Policy

How we measure visits without cookies

We use Burst Statistics, a privacy-focused analytics tool that runs entirely on our own server. It records anonymous, aggregated information — which pages are viewed, roughly where visitors come from, and which device type they use.
It does not set cookies, does not store your IP address, does not follow you across other websites, and cannot identify you. The data never leaves our hosting; no analytics company receives it.

Third-party content

We don’t embed third-party trackers, advertising pixels, social media tracking scripts or externally hosted video players. Images and content on this site are served from our own domain.

Your choices

Because no tracking cookies are set, there is nothing to opt out of. You can still block or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time, and the site will work normally.

Changes to this policy

If we ever add a service that sets cookies, we will update this policy and introduce a consent banner before that service goes live.
